Why trust us

What we check, and how often

• Every one of the 1,328gifts links to a product page on a real shop's own site. No marketplace listings.
• Software reads the price on that page every day. The card shows the price and the date it was seen. Latest check: October 8, 2026.
• When a shop's page blocks our checker, the card keeps the last date we confirmed, so it never looks fresher than it is.
• A gift sold out on its page says so. A page gone twice in a row takes the gift off the site.

What we have not done

• We have not yet bought and used any of these gifts ourselves. Where a page does not say so, we have not handled the product and we do not write as if we had.
• We do not publish star ratings or reviews. We would have to invent them.
• AI tools did much of the research and drafting. How we choose says exactly what they did.

Who picks

The lists are edited at Baldwin Industries in Ottawa, Canada, which runs HelpFindGifts. There are 79 ranked lists, each with a top pick, a budget pick and a splurge, and a note written for that list.

How we are paid, and what it never changes

Some shops pay a commission when you buy through our link. It never decides what is on a list or in what order, and gifts from shops that pay nothing are included on the same terms. The commission line sits above every set of shop buttons. How we make money.

Rules we hold ourselves to

• A price is called a drop only when it is at least 5% below the highest price we saw on the same page in the previous 30 days, and we show both prices and both dates.
• “Canadian brand” means where the brand is based, never where it was made.
• Product photos appear only with the shop's permission or a network licence (1 shop so far). Otherwise you see our illustration, which never pretends to be the product.
• No account, no cookie banner, nothing about you sold.

When we get something wrong

Tell us at hello@helpfindgifts.com. We correct listings within two business days and note the change in the list's update log.
