Holiday Price Watch 2026
Every day we read the price of each gift we list, on the shop's own product page, in the US, Canada, the UK and Australia. This page is what those readings show: which prices went up ahead of the sales, which came down, and how many never moved. Nothing here is a shop's own claim of a discount.
Last 45 days · 1,078 shop prices tracked · 7,271 readings · last read October 4, 2026

Prices that went up
If one of these shows a "sale" in late November, compare the sale price with the earlier price here. A discount that only takes a price back to where it was a few weeks ago is not much of a discount.

How we read prices
A scheduled job opens each product page we link to, roughly once a day, and reads the price the shop publishes for that product in its own currency. Only successful readings count. When a page is blocked, broken or ambiguous, that day is skipped rather than guessed.
A rise is the latest price compared with the lowest price read in the window. A fall is the latest price compared with the highest. Moves under 5% or under one unit of currency are ignored, because rounding and currency display can produce small differences that mean nothing to a shopper.
Rules on advertised discounts differ by country. In the US the FTC's guides on former-price comparisons apply, and in Canada the Competition Act covers ordinary-price claims. Our guide to spotting a real price drop explains both in plain words.
